Our Story

Invested Interests was founded in 2005 by Brandon Small and gained instant notoriety as the preeminent tool of the movement to divest from Sudan because of the atrocities being committed in Darfur. The company was covered in periodicals ranging from the Wall Street Journal to the Washington Post.

Brandon, who also owns a business counseling clients about socially responsible investing, decided to do a complete site redesign in 2009/2010 to make the functionality much more robust and to create a better widget that could placed on the websites of partners. Now the Invested Interests tool has functionality encompassing a wide variety of different social screens and a growing number of high profile partners. The team is growing quickly as well as people increasingly look to Invested Interests to help them understand whether their investments reflect their values.
